{"id":264,"date":"2022-04-23T12:12:47","date_gmt":"2022-04-23T18:12:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/seabirdcanadainc.ca\/blog\/?p=264"},"modified":"2022-04-23T13:08:57","modified_gmt":"2022-04-23T19:08:57","slug":"the-government-of-canada-eases-off-border-restrictions-from-april-252022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/seabirdcanadainc.ca\/blog\/the-government-of-canada-eases-off-border-restrictions-from-april-252022\/","title":{"rendered":"The government of Canada eases off border restrictions from April 25,2022"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Effective April&nbsp;25,&nbsp;2022, the government of Canada is introducing some changes for the eligible travellers to Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Any children aged 5 through 11 travelling to Canada: <\/strong>Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated children aged 5-11 who are accompanied by a&nbsp;fully vaccinated&nbsp;parent, step-parent, guardian or tutor will no longer be required to complete a pre-entry COVID-19 test for entry to Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Anyone aged 12 or above:<\/strong> Pre-entry testing is still required for all eligible travellers of 12 years or above age group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Age of 5 years or below: <\/strong>There is no change in the pre-testing requirements. This group is still exempted from any pre-testing requirement. They are also not required to be vaccinated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, fully vaccinated travellers arriving to Canada on or after April&nbsp;25,&nbsp;2022, are not required federally (may be provincially required) to do the following for 14&nbsp;days after arriving:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>They are not required to wear masks in public.<\/li><li>They are not required to monitor and report if they develop signs or symptoms of COVID19<\/li><li>They are not required to quarantine if another traveller in the same travel group shows signs or symptoms of COVID19 or tests positive; and<\/li><li>Also, they are not required to maintain a list of close contacts and locations visited.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Note: Use of ArriveCan App is still mandatory for all travellers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The government of Canada&#8217;s previous measures for children and youth can be found<a href=\"https:\/\/seabirdcanadainc.ca\/blog\/2022\/04\/09\/are-you-travelling-to-canada\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> <strong>here<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Effective April&nbsp;25,&nbsp;2022, the government of Canada is introducing some changes for the eligible travellers to Canada.
